| Why are you interested in animals? |
I’ve grown up with animals and I want to help protect our endangered species and the habitat, so I got into the biology field. |
| What are your favorite animals to work on? |
Dogs and large mammals. |
| Do you have any amazing or funny stories to tell about working with animals? |
I think it would be the first time I helped in surgery with an emergency C-Section and helped recover the pups—It was a defining moment in the vet field for me. |
| Why did you become a veterinarian nurse? |
I always enjoyed helping in surgery. |
| What are your favorite things about being a veterinary nurse? |
Seeing puppies come in and or helping sick animals and seeing them afterwards. |
| What are your favorite things about working at Boulders Natural Animal? |
I get to see another aspect of this field—more cancer patients come here, which I find interesting to observe how they improve on diet and supplements. |
| Tell us about your pets. |
I have a 4 year old puppy – Golden Retriever. Her name is Aila (“I-la”). I’ve had her since she was 7 weeks old. |
| Do you have any hobbies? |
Disc golf, hiking, snowboarding. |

Disc golf, snowboarding. |
| What do you want people to know about you that is really really cool? |
I went to China alone right after college to work with giant Pandas!!!! |
| Did you go to tech school? If so where and are you certified? |
No, instead I have a BS in Wildlife Biology. I worked at a Veterinary Hospital for 5 years in Ohio, before working here at Boulder’s Natural Animal. |
| What are your goals in life? |
To help conserve habitat and protect wildlife. |
