Washington DC at Walter Reed. |
| Where did you live before coming to our area? |
My father was in the military so we lived all over the country and the world for most of my childhood. |
| Why are you interested in animals? |
The welfare of all animals in our society is not just important to animals but to humans as well. |
| What are your favorite animals to work on? |
Dogs and cats are my main interest, but I have some experience with birds, reptiles and pocket pets. |
| Do you have any amazing or funny stories to tell about working with animals? |
Animals are so amazing, that they can respond so well to herbs, natural therapies and acupuncture. |
| Why did you become a veterinarian? |
To provide animal companions and their guardians with the best, most effective and state of the art veterinary care available. |
| What are your favorite things about being a veterinarian? |
I very much enjoy the human-animal bond. I find it rewarding to help nurture that bond between companion animals and their guardian humans. |
| What are your favorite things about working at Boulders Natural Animal? |
I greatly enjoy the integration of traditional veterinary medical practice with alternative and complementary modalities in the prevention and treatment of disease. Also, the staff and the working environment at Boulder’s Natural Animal are second to none. |
| Tell us about your pets and your family. |
My wife Nancy is a Physical Therapist, and our son Ryan is 26 months old at the time of this writing (May 2007); we have three dogs. Our golden Retriever, Keeley is 6 years old. Our yellow Labrador Retriever Cody is 3 years old, and Belle is our 9 years old Shitzu. WE have cat, Wynslow who is 13 years old and a red tabby. |
| Do you have any hobbies? |
Telemark Skiing, camping, hiking, jeeping, spending time with family. |
| What sports do you like? |
Telemark skiing. |
| What do you want people to know about you that is really really cool? |
I rebuild Jeeps! |
| Where did you go to veterinary school? |
I attended Texas A&M university for both undergraduate training and veterinary school. This was the longest I have ever resided in one place other than Colorado and Utah. |
| Tell us about your experience as a veterinarian what skills do you have, and where did you gain them? |
I have practiced in a number of veterinary environments including small animal, farm animal, emergency and exotic animal medicine in Texas for 3 years and in Colorado for the last 8 years. |
| What are your goals in life? |
To be a great husband, father and role model for others. To be a happy, fulfilled person throughout life and unto the next. |
